REAL JOBS

Growing up in Tunisia, there were 4 possible carrier choices: becoming a doctor, a lawyer, an engineer or a shame to your family. Of all the shameful paths one could take, the creative one is the worst; and of all the creative paths, the music one is the worst. So imagine the moment my 18 years old brother decided to become a professional guitarist, the next Slash, the oriental Jimmy Hendrix, the curly Jimmy Page. Yeah, a nightmare in the house. Everyone around started telling him to get a real job instead. At that moment I wondered, what if music superstars would have fallen for that stigma?
